Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to lead people to love God, love others and make disciples.  All we do as a church is centered around the vision of helping people to achieve these three goals in their lives.

The first two aspects of our mission is based on what Jesus said the following when asked what the greatest commandment was in all the Bible:

Matthew 22:37-40 (New Living Translation)
(37)  Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’   (38)  This is the first and greatest commandment.   (39)  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’   (40)  The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

The third aspect of our mission is based on the commission Jesus gave to his followers before he left the earth to go back to His home in heaven:

Matthew 28:18-20 (New Living Translation)
(18)  Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.   (19)  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.   (20)  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. . . .”
