Community Thanksgiving Service: All are invited to the Community Thanksgiving Service, to be held here at The FED Sunday, November 24, at 6:00 p.m. Plan to come join area church families as they celebrate with worship and special music from a community choir. Please bring canned goods for the Franklin Mall Project.
Save The Date! The Chancel Choir will be performing in a Vesper service December 8 at 4:00 p.m. at The Federated Church. Beautiful Christmas music will fill the church as the choir performs and other musical talents will be shared. Following the service, a reception will be held in Fellowship Hall for all who attend. Plan to come join us as we bring back this wonderful Christmas tradition!
Huntley Brown in Concert! The community is invited to attend a musical concert by world renowed musician Huntley Brown, Sunday, September 15th, at 6:00 p.m. here at THE FED. Mr. Brown has traveled around the world delighting audiences with his extrordinary talent and testimony. Following the performance there will be refreshments in Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for this event; a free will offering for Mr. Brown will be taken. Come enjoy a night of great entertainment and a meaningful experience! Nursery will be available.
All Church Picnic: The annual All Church Picnic will be held Sunday, July 21, starting at 11:30 a.m. at Lake Holiday Beach #2. Bring dish to share and your table service, and come join in the fun!
“Night at the FED” is Friday, May 17, at 7:00 p.m. Come and enjoy the music of The Lamplighter’s, a Barbershop Chorus from Montgomery, IL, who will be performing an assortment of lively barbershop music for your enjoyment here at The Federated Church. Following the performance there will be refreshments in Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for this event; a love offering will be taken. This is a community event; come enjoy a night of great entertainment and fun! Child care will be available.
Mother’s Day: Come join us for Sunday’s, May 12, Mother’s Day service, 9:30 a.m., as we honor and give thanks for our mothers! We will also be recognizing our graduates and give prior graduate updates.
Easter Services: Join us for the upcoming Easter Services at The FED. Palms will be given at a special Palm Sunday Service on April 14th, which will also include a Confirmation Ceremony and baptisms. There will then be a Maundy Thursday Service April 18th at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, as we prepare for Good Friday and the coming Resurrection of our Lord! A Celebration Easter Service will be held Sunday, April 21st, at 9:30 a.m. Prior to the service, at 8:30 a.m., the EPIC Youth Group will be hosting an Easter breakfast. Pancakes, breakfast casseroles, made-to-order omelets, fruit, pastries, and drinks will be served. A freewill offering will be taken to help fund their summer mission trip. We hope you will be here with us at these special services; you will truly be Blessed!
Annual Spring Basement Sale: This year’s Spring Basement Sale to benefit Open Door, will be held Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. April 26, and 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. April 27.

The 2019 Lenten Breakfast Series has been announced. The series will begin Wednesday, March 6, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at The “FED” (Federated Church), 403 N. Main Street, Sandwich, and will be held for six consecutive Wednesdays, concluding April 10. The devotion theme this year is “Sayings from the Cross”, and will feature area pastors bringing messages around the seven sayings of Jesus from the cross. A continental breakfast will be served, and a freewill offering will be taken for the Ministerial Association Good Samaritan Fund to help the hurting and needy in the community. All are invited to attend these special services.
