Basement Sale: There will be a church Basement Sale to benefit Open Door Friday, April 27, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Be sure to come find “treasures” and support Open Door. Donations may be dropped off at the church Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Holy Week: There will be a Maundy Thursday service in Fellowship Hall Thursday, March 29th, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. All are welcome to come and participate in this Holy Week experience. Easter Sunday, April 1, there will be a full breakfast served at 8:30 a.m. to benefit the EPIC youth summer mission trip this summer. A free will offering will be taken. Following the breakfast, please join us in a special Easter Worship service at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care will be provided.
The 2018 Lenten Breakfast Series will begin Wednesday, February 14th, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at The Federated Church. It will run for 6 consecutive weeks, through March 21. Several area churches will be participating. The schedule is as follows: February 14: “The Christian Life Begins And Ends With Love”, presented by Pastor Wayne Derber of Salem Lutheran Church; February 21: “Giving And Receiving Belovedness”, presented by Mr. Chuck Johnson of The Federated Church; February 28: “Letting Go And Loving”, presented by Pastor David Johnson of Somonauk Baptist Church; March 7: “Deciding To Love”, presented by Pastor Anne Hoflen of Somonauk United Presbyterian Church; March 14: “Loving In The Midst of Adversity”, presented by Pastor Matthew Jones of Sandwich Church of the Nazarene; and March 21: “The Healing Power of Love”, presented by Rev. Bill Lupole, retired pastor of Lisle Bible Church. All are welcome to come and join in fellowship as we enter this Lenten/Easter season.
A Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 24th. All are welcome to join in the celebration of our Savior’s birth!
Come join us for upcoming Christmas celebrations! The chancel choir will be presenting “Christmas is in the Heart”, a cantata that takes the big picture look at God’s redemption plan for humanity with fresh, lively music. It will be presented during the 9:30 a.m. worship hour on Sunday, December 10th. The choir will also be performing the cantata at the Willowcrest Nursing Pavilion at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17th.
A Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 1022 N. Main St., Sandwich, Wednesday, November 22, at 7:00 p.m. There will be a community choir participating in the service.
There will be a Thanksgiving Tea event Monday, November 20, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be Shari Tvrdik, former missionary to Mongolia and now Director of Special Projects and Communications for Cup of Cold Water Ministries. Cup of Cold Water Ministries is the sending agency that sent and stood with the Tvrdiks while they ministered in Mongolia. Shari will be sharing how God has used her in the mission field. Tea and sweets will be served.

A Walk in Their Shoes, September 23, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Pine Ridge Christian Center for Cup of Cold Water Ministries, 2580 N. 3653rd Rd., Norway, IL.
